Overview

The programme

Technically, interior architects must have an in-depth knowledge of finishing materials, lighting systems, sanitary and electrical equipment, interior fit-out standards and building principles, working hand in hand with an architect.

They draw up detailed plans, elevations and technical drawings for the trades (joiners, cabinetmakers, electricians). They are the conductor of the interior transformation, ensuring the works are carried out properly and that every element is integrated harmoniously, guaranteeing the safety and ergonomics of the spaces. They shape the soul and the sensory and functional experience of interiors.

The aesthetic dimension lies at the heart of the interior architect designer's profession. They orchestrate atmospheres by playing on materials, colours, textures, lighting and furniture.
